Today is primary day in Nebraska and West Virginia, and there’s also a special election being held in Georgia to fill former-Rep. Nathan Deal’s seat in the Ninth CD.
Looks like nothing incredibly interesting will come from the Nebraska elections, with incumbent Republicans looking remarkably strong there.
West Virginia does have one interesting primary battle — that of Democrat Rep. Alan Mollohan, who’s literally been in Congress forever and is now facing a serious challenge.
In Georgia’s 9th Congressional special election, the only question is which of the six Republicans in the field will come away with the nomination, which is really all that’s needed to win this November. It’ll be interesting to see if it’s a tea party candidate who emerges from this race or not.
